Welcome

Welcome to this site about knowledge-based algorithms for multi-agent communication. On this site a simulation is presented wich gives insight in the knowledge gaining during one-on-group communication. The communication algorithm executed during the simulation is a simplified version of the algorithms as presented by E. van Baars and R. Verbrugge in their articles on this subject. These articles can be found in the publications section. To view the simulation klick on the menu item "Simulation". The buttons and the interface of the simulation are explained in the manual section of this site. A line-by-line explanation of the algorithm which is shown in the simulation can be found in the algorithms section under simulation algorithm. The simulation algorithm is a simplified version of the general algorithm. Its only purpose is to give insight in the simulation.

The other algorithms in the algorithm section have a scientific value. The algorithm under LOFT 06 is the algorithm as presented in the "Knowledge-based Algorithm for Multi-agent Communication" paper, published in the "Proceedings of the Seventh Conference on Logic and the Foundations of Game and Decision Theory (LOFT'06)". The LOFT-06 algorithm deals primarily on the knowledge-based part of group communication. The algorithm under LADS 2007 is the algorithm as presented in the "Adjusting a Knowledge-based Algorithm for Multi-agent communication for CPS" paper, published in the "Proceedings of the Intenational Workshop on Languages, Methodologies and Development Tools for Multi-agent Systems (LADS)". The LADS 2007 algorithm is adjusted to handle multi-agent communication during CPS (Collective Problem Solving). The general algorithm is a full version of the algorithm as presented in E. van Baars' Master's thesis. This general algorithm handles besides the knowledge-based part of communication also the errors that can occur during communication.
