Assignment 3: Literature study

Goal

The goal of this assignment is to learn about some methods used by others and write a part of your final paper.

Assignment

Read related papers. Some papers are available on Nestor.
Write a Related work section of at least 200 words.
Submit it by email to Jean-Paul.

Grading

This submission is not graded, but it is obligatory. It will be checked on the number of words and on general impression. But of course, the better this section is, the better the final report will be.

Hints

You are suggested to read the papers made by the students who made last year's best recognizers, available on Nestor. Note: Papers from 2008 and before are also available, however, the students then did not need to find the word zones.
