Introduction

Cluedo is a board game for between 2 and 6 players where players gather information about a murder of Mr. Black who has been murdered in one of the rooms of his mansion Tudor Close. The game’s object is to be the first to deduce the correct murder suspect, weapon, and room. There are 6 suspects, 6 murder weapons and 9 rooms in original Cluedo game. One suspect, one murder weapon and one room cards are placed without being seen by any players, in an envelope called case file. These are actual murderer, murder weapon and location of the murder. The remaining cards are shuffled and dealt to the players.

Players take it in turns for making suggestions about the contents of the case file (suspect, weapon and room). When a player makes a suggestion, any opponent who has at least one of suggested cards, shows one of those cards secretly to the player making the suggestion. This continues until a card has been shown to the suggesting player or no card has been shown by any player for this suggestion. Each player may declare one accusation in the game and check the case file to see whether the contents have been correctly named or not. If correct, the player wins; if not, the player loses and continues to disprove suggestions when possible.

Here, we add a little variation to original Cluedo. There are some extra cards that were not dealt to any players and face down on the table. If a player makes a suggestion and none of the players can show him a card to disprove his suggestion, then, the player can exchange one of his cards with a card on the table. The player does not need to announce which card he swapped on the table, to the other players. This variation makes more playable Cluedo game especially for two-player version.
