The premises that form the basis of justification are assumed as long as they are not brought up for discussion
After justification of the questioned premises, the resulting new basis of justification can again be brought up for discussion
Schwemmer focuses on consensus in actual discourse, while Habermas focuses on discussions that obey rationality constraints
