Are more than two defeat statuses necessary?
There seem to be two principle reasons for the use of multiple defeat statuses:
- The occurrence of multiple extensions and attack loops
? In this case, the multiple defeat statuses seem to be derivable from the two-statuses case. E.g., an argument could be called defensible if it is undefeated in one extension, defeated in another.
- Groups of more than two arguments with inconsistent conclusions
