(1) Predicate logic is an ontological rather than a logical theory.
(2) Good reasoning is often a mental reconstruction of constitution.
(3) A conclusion can be based on:
- application of an existing rule;
- application of a new, self-created rule;
- one or more reasons, without any underlying rule.
(4) Dialogical models of argumentation must allow both arguments that have, and arguments that have not a logically valid structure.
(5) The inconsistency of argument conclusions is not the primary trigger of defeat.
(6) Rules are not sentences, but objects with properties.
