Cognitive Robotics Laboratory - BORG > AI > FWN > RUG

A video made by students from the master journalism. It's purpose is to show our work for the RoboCup 2013 in Eindhoven. Also it shows our enthusiasm, creativity and accessibility for all kinds of students.

A video made by one of our Practical Autonomous Systems course (bachelor) students, Ben Wolf, where he shows the Robocup Soccer challenge in action. The students have to program soccer behaviours on the Nao robots and compete in real tournaments to receive points. Afterwards they have to write a scientific paper to earn their grade.

A video made by one of our Robotics (master) students, Ayla Kangur, where she shows the international aspect of our robotics team (team BORG) as well as our performance on the Robocup@Home challenge in Iran (2013)!

The BORG team and students explain their work on the Robocup competition. The last competion was in Magdeburg and was a good training for the World championship in Eindhoven.

In the following video, the problem of learning a proper trajectory towards an object to grasp, located in front of a humanoid robot, the NAO from Aldebaran, is solved by using machine learning, and in particular a form of Reinforcement Learning (RL) tailored to continuous state and action spaces, the Continuous Actor Critic Learning Automaton (CACLA).

The quadrocopter, demonstrating the use of Arduino, ultrasonic sensors and a serial port connection to the mainboard of the quadrocopter. This way distance can be measured and send through Wi-Fi:

The following (old) videos demonstrate visual navigation in combination with the NAO robot and our AI framework.
